Empire magazine analysis

1. The masthead which is the company's name is placed on top of the page, behind the actor because it is the first thing the creator wants the audience to look at. It is written in red bold to represent royal because empire is royal. They also use the colour red to make the word stand out because it is the only red on the cover of the magazine.

2. The character is dressed in a pirate costume to give a hint to the reader that this film is set during the pirate times.
The character is posing in a firing position to show the reader that this film is an action film.

3. Here we have a list of popular movies in 2011 to capture readers attention. They placed at the front of the cover to show the reader what is in the magazine.

4. The magazine tagline is place right above the masthead to give the audience a small piece of information while enticing them to read on.
The picture is taken in a medium shot showing the audience the main features and the outfit. The character in the picture is the main character of "Pirates of the caribbean" and he is called Captain Jack sparrow. The actors really name is called Johnny Depp.This magazine is targeting audience at the age 12 and over because " Pirates of the caribbean" is ideally for 12 years old audience.
